In Spanis Intermediate 1

This course concentrates on practical communication for general, social and vocational purposes. In addition to listening and speaking skills, emphasis is also given to the written language and the development of the ability to deal with issues of general interest in Spanish.

Course Content

This course provides further practice in reading, writing, listening and speaking. Students will deal with more complex texts and will be expected to convey information in the target language in greater detail than at previous levels. In addition, students will study grammar with a view to broadening their background knowledge of the linguistic structures they are using.

Learning outcomes

Students reach conversational skills in a range of social and vocational situations, at a normal rate, and will be able to read general and simple literary texts. Understanding of broad elements of Spanish structures and vocabulary should be achieved .

Requirements

Students who have achieved the required level of Spanish with the In Spanish® Beginners 2 course or equivalent will discover that this level provides a route to significant improvement through a thoroughly engaging syllabus.

 

In Spanis Intermediate 2

The units in this course have been designed to reach communicative objectives that require a thorough interactive approach. Written and oral texts of various sources cover a wide-ranging offer of topics with emphasis in the four skills, support these communicative activities.

Course Content

This course provides further practice in reading, writing, listening and speaking. Students will deal with more complex texts and will be expected to convey information in the target language in greater detail than at previous levels.

The student will be encouraged to explore and discover language construction rules, regularities and irregularities, structures and use in his independent study time.

Learning outcomes

Students will be able to refer to past experiences, describe attitudes and behavior, give accounts of historical events, express purpose, certainty and probability.

The student will also be able to alk about plans and intentions, propose solutions to problems, engage in discussions and express feelings about situations and be able to criticize and defend positions.
